Foster / Adoptive Care
MAC is committed to providing support and encouragement for foster care and adoptive families. Below are some ways MAC is partnering with families in tangible ways.
The Foster Closet
MAC provides clothing and other basic items, free of charge, to foster/adoptive families. To take advantage of this opportunity, call the church office at 406.251.3983 to schedule an appointment with Lara, MAC’s Foster Care director.
Hosting Monthly Dinners
We believe that community is a powerful tool for Foster/Adoptive families. MAC hosts a free foster care/adoptive dinner and meeting from 5:30-7:30p on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Free childcare is provided. Each meeting features a different guest presenter who shares on a topic related to foster care/adoption.
Support/Encouragement of Child & Family Services Office in Missoula County
MAC supports our local Child and Family Services office by encouraging staff members with monthly lattes or other treats, as well as providing lunch and snacks during the quarterly licensing trainings for foster families. MAC also works with staff to provide resources for families that the department does not have funding for.
